I had already decided to go back to Graduate School.

I knew that with a decade of only real estate experience that my job prospects were thin, and I was right. 

No one was hiring! 

Then I noticed a small discreet job ad on Craigslist for a Real Estate Broker Team Leader. 

I immediately applied and interviewed for the position.

The company had a franchise team where the Broker was retiring and the team was in serious trouble

Their culture was bad and they were a financial mess.  

I was offered the job and agreed to take on this exciting challenge.  

After my first couple of weeks in the office I realized that things were worse than I had thought

The culture was cutthroat. Agents were not working as a Team. 
 The office had a terrible reputation in the area 
and the politics were toxic.  
This was going to be a big challenge.  

In the first 6 months I probably made EVERY mistake you could imagine AND wasted thousands and thousands of dollars.

But then I started to figure things out. 

I began incorporating technology, systems, and processes to help the office run smoother without hiring additional staff. 

I cut outdated marketing and admin costs. And increased the top line market share to over 70% in our market.
